I read a lot of Fanfictions (mainly Wenclair stuff lol). I am looking for Romance, with smut is fine.

It does not have to be F/F.

Friends to lovers would be cool, someone being overprotective, both not realizing they love each other, that type of stuff.

I read English or German. I’m thankful for any recommendations 🙂

    1. These authors also wrote fanfiction:

      * Dreamsnake by Vonda N. McIntyre

      * Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. Tons of F/F yearning but I would not call this series romance.

      * The City in the Middle of the Night by Charlie Jane Anders. There isn’t any romance here, though.

I don’t know if these authors ever wrote fanfiction but these books fit what you describe:

      * Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell

      * Painted Moon by Karin Kallmaker

      * Redsight by Meredith Mooring

      * Nova by Samuel R. Delany. There is a very melodramatic heterosexual love story, but there is also the slow building of friendship and affection between two male characters which stays as subtext, but the author is a gay man so in my mind, it is intentional to read the same sex friendship as also being romantic.

      * Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell

      * Trouble and Her Friends by Melissa Scott

Some books in the same-ish vein, a little bit of enemies (but not really) to friends to lovers:
      – *Crier’s War*, by Nina Varela, and its sequel *Iron Heart*
      – *Sweet and Bitter Magic*, by Adrienne Tooley
      – *No Shelter But the Stars*, by Virginia Black (started out as a fanfic)

I’d be doing you a disservice if I didn’t recommend *Priory of the Orange Tree* by Samantha Shannon.

You could also try pretty much anything by:
      – Georgia Beers
      – Gerri Hill
      – Melissa Brayden.

If you don’t mind wide-open endings, *Fable for the End of the World* by Ava Reid.

If you like cosy stories that aren’t 100% romance but have a lovely romance within them, try *Legends and Lattes* by Travis Baldree.

My wife (I’m also a woman, so all of the above are F/F romance) likes Wenclair fanfic 🙂
