Every discussion ever about cosmic horror has people saying Lovecraft is not a great cosmic horror writer, but he was the one to popularize it.
Having read a lot of Lovecraft, I dont really agree but I honestly do not have another reference for that genre.
And altough that opinion is said a lot, people tend to not mention who are the great authors in this space.
So I am looking for the great books and authors so I can actually decide if Lovecraft is kinda bad at it (although I really loved Mountains of Madness)
