So, let me know if there is a better sub to ask, but is there a really good option for managing my physical books? Like a phone app.
I saw a YouTube video of a guy using a scanner and an app on his phone to put them all in the system. I’m sure there are tons out there. Is there a best? I’m not going to pay an ongoing subscription, but I don’t necessarily mind a one time purchase for good software.
I’m fixing to add onto my book shelves. I probably need to do a re-organization. I’ve likely got plenty of books to officially say I have a library. Just looking for options.
Thanks.

Take a picture of your book shelf
StoryGraph
I’m not trying to be critical of your choices or needs but why? What do you need an app for? I just order mine by author and call it good.
I use LibraryThing for cataloging my collection – you can scan barcodes with your phone and it pulls all the book info automatically. The free version lets you add up to 200 books, then it’s a one-time fee if you want to go unlimited.
StoryGraph is another solid option that’s completely free and has some nice organization features. Both let you track what you’ve read, add ratings, and sort by genre or whatever system works for you. The barcode scanning makes adding books super quick once you get going.
