I borrowed it from the library when the snow was still piling up outside. I thought it would be especially appropriate to read a book with this name this winter; this was the coldest winter in my country in years.
It was rather confused by the book sometimes. Like the motive of different characters. And there were some passages of pacing issues I think. But the ending really surprised me. I did not expect to be so emotionally touched by a short sci-fi story like this. I thought it was beautiful, the way Valentina and Tatiana finally "met"; Valentina holding Tatiana's hand, from 52 years in the future, as Tatiana freezes to death in the snow, with the both of them knowing they've helped save the generations to come!
So overall, I recommend this book. If you've read it, what did you think? What other works by Reynolds did you enjoy? I think he's a solid writer!
