So I have two daughters that have started showing some interest in reading and I’d really like to encourage that . One is 16 and one is 13. They’re both pretty into nonfiction which is cool but I’d really appreciate recommendations from any genre. The 16 year old has been into Sylvia Plath a little bit and the 13 yr old has been really into stories about ww2 (which of course I think is cool as shit because I was too at that age). I also would really like to find some books that might have strong female main characters that are out there kicking ass in some way, either fictional or not. I always loved reading as a kid but being a boy I gravitated towards stories with mostly male protagonists and while I plan on recommending some books I cherished from childhood such as anything by Gary Paulsen like Hatchet, I feel like they would get more out of books that have female leads. Any help would be appreciated
