Hi everyone! My first post in this community. I'd like to ask for book recommendations in a "genre" that isn't really a genre, but which I see as essential in a world where apathy and hopelessness are the norm. "**Hopepunk" or "solarpunk"** as some call it (although I have a pet peeve with those terms).
Please recommend me books (or films and other media) that present a **more optimistic future, an alternative future** to the pessimism of the eco-apocalyptic and dystopic fiction (which is mostly what I grew up on, being a 90s kid). I find those are often in the **sci-fi genre**, but would be curious if you have fantasy or even non-fiction suggestions!
Some examples that I believe fit are **"A psalm for the wild-built"** and the **Wayfarers series** (A Long Journey to a Small, Angry Planet). (I do like aliens and robot stuff, yeah! LOL)

Here is a list of curated “[Hopeful Climate Fiction](https://brightgreenfutures.substack.com/p/hopeful-climate-fiction)” from the Bright Green Futures substack. Not on there but worth a read is The Last Gifts of the Universe by Riley August; it was a major hit at my last library book club.
