Just finished the first book i've read since high school. It was "I'm Glad My Mom Died" by Jeanette McCurdy. I loved how simply descriptive she was and i was just pulled in and read it without any problems taking in the words
i want a good beginner book, could be a classic, could be something new, could be nonfiction or fiction (i don't really care for autobiographies, this just happened to be what i wanted to read). i do like history, but not so much that i'd wanna read a 500 page book about the revolutionary war.
please give me something simple and interesting. could be romance or horror or anything in between, mystery may be a little hard to follow as i have a hard time with comprehension at times (for example, i cannot read a single page of a stephen king book to save my life, too descriptive and too complicated in some aspects for me)
if not i'm sure i can figure it out and i can start at my current reading level. i did always like chicka chicka boom boom.

Try “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton – super straightforward writing style and you’ll blow through it in like two sittings, plus it’s got that same emotional punch without being overly descriptive or confusing
