I want a book that feels like the professor layton games! It doesn’t have to be a mystery, but i love the way the game interacts with the settings and the cast of characters. I really enjoyed the one set in london across multiple times (maybe something like a darker shade of magic series?). but i love the idea of interconnecting characters who are a little kooky, that you slowly learn more about and something is a little bit unsettlingly wrong. cities where everything is not quite right, its got a cozy feel, but there is something deceptive going on. places as a character in the plot itself, or where discovering and being in the place feels integral.
any recommendations along these lines?
