Sadegh Hedayat’s Persian horror masterpiece is among my all time favorites. I’m desperate to find other books that exude the same vibe, but despite my efforts, I have found nothing. For those who have read “The Blind Owl” – do you know of any other works that are stylistically and narratively comparable?
For the record, these are some of the other novels and volumes I’ve already read:
– House of Leaves
– The 20 Days of Turin
– Pale Fire
– A Tree or a Person or a Wall
– The original 6 Dune books
– Book of the New Sun (all 4 volumes)
– The collected works of Carl Jung, Jorge Luis Borges, and Kafka
– 1001 Arabian Nights
I’m hoping to find something that’s a mixture of; Horror, Middle Eastern / Arabic, and Supernatural. Though I’m also open to any suggestions outside of those categories. Thanks much!
