I'm looking for books that feature beautiful food writing – not necessarily cookbooks or books categorised as food writing, but novels, memoirs, or essays where food and cooking are described so well they stop you in your tracks. The kind of scene description where you can almost smell what's on the page. Have you come across any books where the food descriptions genuinely stuck with you – maybe even made you hungry or sent you straight to the kitchen? Would love any recommendations across any genre!

Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen. I read it for a book club years ago, it’s not my usual kind of read (very cute, found family story) although I liked it. But to this day the food scenes stick with me!! Def recommend for the food alone.
