I listened to a short audiobook recently about a young adventurer starting their first adventure, making friends with a bard, a ranger and banding together to save a village from bandits. I really enjoyed it but wanted to hear more. Is this an existing genre? Any suggestions of that area? This example was more medieval fantasy and had some magic which I also enjoyed.

Conan series by Robert E. Howard. And when you’re ready to up your game you can read Lord of the Rings. There are tons of books in this genre. I’m currently reading the Mistborn series by Sanderson
