I am fond of books that takes place over a stretch of time and looks over the silent, miniscule details of its own world and individuals, of their everyday and momentary lives throughout the years. I love particularly those that explore a person's lifetime or withim generations of families, detailing how they were shaped and formed. Books like these which I love are Martha Quest by Doris Lessing, A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley and many of those written by Kazuo Ishiguro and Willa Cather.
