I’ve realized lately that I spend a lot of time "hate-reading" books just because I feel guilty about leaving them unfinished. I’ll be halfway through a popular thriller or a classic, realize I’m not actually enjoying myself, but I keep pushing through anyway. It feels like if I don't finish it, the time I already spent reading was a total waste.
I’m trying to get better at "DNFing" (did not finish) books that don't spark any interest, but it’s harder than it looks. Do you guys force yourself to finish every book you start, or do you have a specific "cutoff" point where you just give up? Also, what was the last book that made you realize life is too short to read things you don't like?
