When he tells Hermione " I do not doubt that your personal life is absolutely exciting but in potions class i would urge you to leave that behind " again paraphrasing don't have the exact quote , but i remember finding it really funny. This was when the class was discussing what Rita Skeeter wrote about Harry and Hermione .
When Snape tell the fifth year students " I only except those with outstanding level in to my potions class, so some of us will be saying goodbye after this year ( his gaze lingers slightly on Neville ) but until that happy moment, i expect your full focus "
Oh and how can i forget in the third book or maybe its only in the film when Snape gives them a long essay and Harry is like but we have a quidditch match and Snape " then i suggest you take extra care Mr. Potter, loss of limb will not excuse you "
In recent times people have really analyzed and moralized Snape's character and yeah its not cool to be mean to a student in real life, no matter your relationship with the student's parents, but in the context of the books he was def a fun character .
