I’m looking for something that really captures what it feels like from the inside, not overly dramatic or preachy, just honest and real. Something where you read it and feel like yeah, that’s exactly it.

I’ve heard The Noonday Demon and Turtles All the Way Down hit that kind of note for a lot of people, curious what else gave you that same feeling.

*Reasons to Stay Alive* by Matt Haig really nailed it for me. Dude just laid out the whole experience without trying to make it into some profound journey or whatever. Just straight talk about what depression actually feels like day to day, which is rare to find in books about this stuff

Also *Furiously Happy* by Jenny Lawson if you want something that mixes the real shit with actual humor that doesn’t feel forced
