I read A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking last week & I've been trying to find the same books with the same vibes to scratch this itch in me. I never read something so fun & genuinely can't stop turning the pages.
Please recommend some!! I'm open to anythingg

oh my god defensive baking was such a gem, right? the whole bread magic system was so clever and mona was just perfect
you might really love the ten thousand doors of january by alix harrow – it’s got that same cozy mysterious vibe with doors that lead to other worlds and beautiful prose that just wraps around you. there’s something about the way she writes that feels like being tucked under a blanket with tea
also try the once and future witches by the same author if you want something a bit more witchy but still has that comfort factor. both books have this lovely atmospheric quality where you feel safe even when things get a bit dark
for something different but similar energy, howl’s moving castle is an absolute classic if you haven’t read it yet – the castle itself is so atmospheric and calcifer is basically the best magical character ever written
