Hi Everyone!
I'm looking for fictional book recommendations!
There are a couple of things that I'm looking for specifically. The books I think back on the most, and spend the most time immersed in while reading are books that either:
-
Have segments describing the beauty of a place (Bram Stoker (Dracula) describing Whitby/Transylvania). I tend to stay away from books set in areas that I know too well (Oman, South Africa, Ireland) as it ruins the wonder for me
-
Have segments of revisiting the past (Troubled Blood (Robert Galbraith) Chapter 13, where Strike and Robin retrace Margot's route 40 years later) or books exploring the history of a created world (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Suzanne Collins), Fire and Blood, Dunk and Egg Novellas (GRRM))
In terms of genres and themes/topics, I am quite easy as I enjoy a lot of variety, although I do not enjoy non-fiction.
