I'm a reader who is looking to give romance books a go and see if i like it. I've only ever read fantasy, thriller/mystery/murder, adventure style books for the most part in the past but never pure romance novels. where should i begin?

Pride and Prejudice is still the gold standard for a reason – gives you all the classic romance beats without being too cheesy, plus the writing is genuinly solid.
