This was damn good. I read it a couple of days ago on the train. I sat there until midnight, and after I finished it, I sat there for a long time, staring at the wall, trying to comprehend it, to come to my senses. I almost cried. This book really shook me, especially the ending. I realized that most likely all these characters, to whom I had become attached, were smiling during silly events, saddened along with the characters, after these moments, it was emotionally difficult to experience their deaths together with them.
Now I want to find something similar, something that will make a strong impression. I also have other works by Erich Maria Remarque at home, but I'm not sure which one to start with.
I'm waiting for your advice. 🫶
