Project Hail Mary brought my out of a reading slump and I’m eager to read another book but what to pick?

Title says it all but yeah to expand, PHM brought me out of a years-long reading slump and I’m eager to keep it going. I forgot how nice and relaxing it is to just spend time reading. My stress levels have gone down and I feel like I’m not rotting my brain as much just passively doom scrolling.

loved PHM but it did take me maybe longer to read it than I’d have liked as the science was a little hard to wrap my head around, and it was a bit long for me as someone just jumping back into reading.

I’m hoping for another book to just put me through an “experience” like Project Hail Mary did but maybe not something super long or complicated just yet.

Dark Matter – I heard it has a similar vibe to PHM?

The Road- I LOVE horror and want something scary. Does this fit the bill?

Coffin Moon- same as above. I love horror.

Girl on the Train- been on my reading list for ages and never saw the movie so I’d be going in blind. I hear it‘a a great page turner? I also love thrillers.

Home is Where the Bodies Are- interested in this solely because it has a cool cover lol

The Silent Patient- just heard a lot of hype around it but don’t know anything about it

What do you guys think of this list? Which one jumps out as you as the most urgent “YOU GOTTA READ THIS” one? lol.

I want to read them all, just unsure which to prioritize!
