Just not trite fantasy books, although I do love some fantasy sometimes.

    1. “Lost in the Woods,” by Chris Page. I give this book 😢😢😢😢😢 i know people award stars, but this is deserving of crying faces. Before I heard this audiobook, the saddest book I’d heard was “Saving Noah, “ by Lucinda Berry. I didn’t think there would be a sadder book than that one. Absolutely wrong. Kind of a mini spoiler, but if you read the description of the book, you’d get more of a synopsis than I’m giving you. A married couple’s young boy was abduc/teD. Not to be found. His disappearance destroys his parents. This author uses words to paint the most heartwrenching picture of their pain. The book isn’t just a story of the parents’ emotional turmoil. The author uses words like no other author that I’ve read ever has. If for no other reason, you have got to hear (moreso than read) how this author ‘plays’ words as thought they are a musical instrument. This is the first book I’ve heard from this author. I definitely want to check the bibliography!
