Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I went in blind and didn’t know much about it, I’ve never even seen the film and…Well, I found it so thought provoking and incredibly heart wrenching. It raises some really interesting issues around humanity and ethics. I was just keen to hear what others thoughts on the book were?
How did you find the ending?

I read this last month and found myself with a mix of feelings. The focus on the physical ‘donations’ is, I’m sure a metaphor for the donation that we all make with our time. Being born as a ‘have-not’ and prepared to donate our most precious resource (time) to the ‘haves’ is perhaps more insidious but completely accepted than the physical donation of organs which was accepted somewhat in the book.
