Yeah, yeah. Everyone is obsessed with Stoner and I'm just another filthy casual reader, but it got me back into reading and I'm trying to branch out! I also recently read Convenience Store Woman and enjoyed the quirkiness of the main character, and perhaps books about work as I spend lots of time in a soul sucking corporate office. I'm a stand up comedian in my spare time so I'm also looking for novels that have interesting observations and ideas. Like Metamorphosis by Kafka. I feel like it's making me a better writer and observer of the world. I think my next read might be the Dungeon Crawler series, but what else do you have for me?!

If you can stomach really really long books, I suggest Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. It’s also excellent as an audiobook.
Earthlings by Sayaka Murata – same author as Convenience Store Woman, since you liked it. However this book is insane, and some people will not be into it. I loved it.
If you can read come ca “beautiful darkness”
