I have a newborn, and I am reading aloud to her the books I am reading. I know she doesn't understand what I am saying, but I feel more comfortable if the story I am reading is something not too edgy or +18. And I want a long list to keep me busy for many months and years (I am a slow reader), thus:
– When she starts picking up words, she won't say something that she is not supposed to.
– When she starts understanding plots, there is nothing that she is not supposed to hear, or the story is not stressing her out.
I am reading Project Hail Mary and I think it's a good example of what I am looking for in the sci-fi realm. Gemini recommended Discworld as well.
I am asking for human recommendations now 😀
