I'm writing my undergrad thesis on US-Taiwan relations — more specifically, the US policy of strategic ambiguity. I need some more book sources to read through, and I thought I would ask here. My paper deals with the possible erosion of the strategic ambiguity doctrine, so any political science book covering the development of strategic ambiguity would be helpful. I'm also analyzing other aspects of cross-strait relations, such as rising Chinese military/economic dominance, US-Taiwan political and economic interdependence, US military aid to Taiwan, and Taiwanese independence. If any other books seem like they could help, I would definitely love to look at them too!
Just so I don't get any repeat recommendations, I'll attach some of the books I already have below:
– "US-China-Taiwan in the Age of Trump and Biden: Towards a Nationalistic Strategy" by Dean Chen
– "US Taiwan Strait policy: the origins of strategic ambiguity" by Dean Chen
– "Superpower Showdown: How the Battle between Trump and Xi threatens a New Cold War" by Bob Davis and Lingling Wei
