I’m in the mood for a really good rom com where the leads have insane chemistry and the humor actually lands. Not just “cute” moments but the kind that genuinely makes you laugh out loud. I love enemies to lovers, workplace romance, rivals to lovers basically anything with tension, banter and that slow build that makes you swoon.
I want something where i can feel the connection, the flirting, banter or tension is top tier and the characters bounce off each other perfectly. Bonus if the writing is sharp and the story doesn’t drag.

been reading a lot of romance lately and beach read by emily henry is probably what youre looking for. the banter between january and gus is insane and they have this whole rivals thing going on since theyre both writers with completely different styles. the tension builds so well and their conversations are actually hilarious not just cute
also check out the hating game by sally thorne if you want workplace enemies to lovers with some serious sexual tension. lucy and joshua hate each other so much it circles back around to chemistry and the slow burn is perfect
