Does anyone have any recommendations for books when an elder person is sharing their wisdom and life experiences? Or something like talking to a grandparent? I've lost all my grandparents and I miss having older generations in my life, I like to hear about the wisdom that comes with aging.

    4. This is Happiness by Niall Williams. Fiction. The narrator is a man in his 70s, reflecting back on the time in his teens when he went to stay with his grandparents in a small village in County Clare, Ireland. It’s the 1950s, and the village is finally getting electricity, much later than Dublin, where the narrator spent his childhood. This beautiful, lyrical book is filled with wit and wisdom. You’ll laugh out loud and wonder how the author came up with the many unique descriptions of people and place, as well as all the plot twists. It’s definitely a book to savor.

No Time to Spare (2017) by Ursula K. Le Guin

It’s a collection of essays she wrote later in life, some about aging, some about writing, and all entertaining. Although it’s not about aging, the one about use of curse words in novels today made me laugh and laugh.
