Posting with the full knowledge that this is a weird prompt and I'm a bit tasteless for posting this, but I'm curious if something like this exists. I have a lingering fascination with the Romanov family and their captivity, and have read a considerable amount of nonfiction on the subject. I am curious if there is any fiction that invokes a similar feeling.
I'm open to any genre or setting, including but not limited to modern literary fiction, historical fiction, and thrillers. It can be directly inspired by the Romanovs (just not featuring them specifically) or simply something with a similar sense of uncertainty, confusion, boredom, fear, etc. Just curious what this prompt brings up for people. thanks!
