Looking for stories where two people are really close to each other — emotionally or physically — but something keeps interrupting it.
Like timing being slightly off, or moments repeating, or something not quite lining up properly.
Especially if it has that slightly surreal feeling where you’re not sure what’s real and what isn’t.
Not necessarily tragic — just that constant almost feeling.
Anything like that?

The strange thing is… the idea only really works if the connection never actually finishes.
Like it gets stuck at the exact moment it was about to happen.
