So I need something that'll really make me care about them.
I mostly read fanfiction for this reason, because I already love and can imagine the characters in it (I struggle to imagine pictures in my head so knowing what they look like helps a lot), but now that it's summer I want a proper book, because I hate looking at screens during it.
I love found family, not too big on romance. And I enjoy storylines with a lot of pain, but it all ends out okay in the end. I tried to read Six of Crows but I couldn't get into it. I don't think fantasy is for me as much as I try to get into it, but I'm not against magic
I liked the Hunger Games books, if that's any help. But like I said that may be because I already knew the characters from the films
I'm open to trying any genre really, sorry this post wasn't very informative
