Craving a cozy, low stakes book but with a darker twist, the closest example i can give is the early seasons of Grimm or later of Supernatural, don't mind romance as long as it's not central; the basic idea is yes, there will be violence, but afterwards you get to go home (deep in the woods), have a cup of tea, and go to bed. In all honesty i'm not entirely sure this genre exists but worth asking.

What’s your opinion on Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett?

If you don’t have an opinion, then I’m recommending it as a pastiche of MacBeth from the point of view of the witches.

A lot of Diana Wynne Jones books balance cozy and gloomy. Dogsbody and Black Maria come to mind.

Your “violence and then tea” description makes me think of the Redwall books. They have huge battles and then huge feasts.
