I recently finished A Brief History of Seven Killings ; one of my favourite things about it was the characters’ relationships with music and how they related to it in their POV, whether it was Bob Marley, the Rolling Stones or even Disco Duck.

I’d appreciate more books where songs and albums play a heavy part in the narration characters” psyches, almost as if you can listen along and empathise with the characters as you read. Not fussed about genre, as I realise this is quite a specific ask!

    Thanks

    1. _Slumberland_ by Paul Beatty (about a DJ) and _High Fidelity_ by Nick Hornby (about a record store owner) both involve many named music tracks.

Glamorama by Bret Easton Ellis you could make a 5 hour playlist on all the songs in it
