Hello! I’m sure this seems like a basic question from a basic reader, I’m trying to get more into reading so I tried popular stuff first. Tried horror, like Stephen King, and classics like John Williams. Seems like I really enjoy sci-fi more than anything and breeze through it. Enjoyed the two above in the title VERY much. Was wondering if anyone knew of any books similar? Was thinking about trying Red Rising or Dungeon Crawler Carl?
Anything helps! Please be nice.

Weir, The Martian
Check out stuff by Robert J. Sawyer. He’s got a gift for taking complex topics and writing so that layfolk can understand and appreciate very esoteric subject matter.
These are the ones of his I reread regularly: The Neanderthal Parallax; Calculating God; The WWW Trilogy; Golden Fleece; Starplex; Rollback; End of an Era; Quantum Night.
Recursion was very entertaining
