I'm going through a cozy chick lit phase, more Debbie McComber than Jennifer Weiner. Not so into the shoes, more into the setting and relationships. And no witches. I did that whole "witchcraft is neato!" when I was 14 and watched The Craft, don't need to revisit. Currently reading Story of My Life by Lucy Score, which isn't quite what I'm looking for but in the ballpark.

Her Shopaholic series does focus on shoe-ish aspects but her characters and relationships in those and her standalone novels are really well done, cozy, and funny. My (not so) Perfect Life or The Undomestic Goddess would be great place to start.
