I (42M) was just unexpectedly fired from my job of 10 years and am now unemployed for the first time in my 18 year career in my field. I have a pretty specialized skill set, will be getting a good severance package and have no solid leads on a new job, so Im probably going to have time in my hands for a few months.
I'm feeling very lost right now – anyone care to share what they read or would like to read in a similar situation? I'm open to basically any genre.

A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit, Adventures of a Happy Man by Channing Pollock
If you’re looking for a book about being lost and searching for something maybe Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. If you want a good adventurous career change book check out Sea Wolf by Jack London.
When Things Fall Apart, by Pema Chodron.
