My boyfriend and I are trying to find a book to have a mini book club together. He not an avid reader and english isn’t his first language, so he doesn’t know what type of genre he would like exactly. Ideally nothing too long, more than 400 pages, and a relatively easy read! I’ve tried to find something but everything interests me and he’s quite picky since he hasn’t read too much before, so I’m hoping another perspective will help!
So what is something we might like?
-We are both early 20s.
-I’ll like YA, fantasy, fiction, really anything!!
-I really enjoy period romance, but I don’t imagine there’s many that are an easy read, nor do I think that’ll be his favorite.
-He enjoys crime, action, and drama movies, and is a huge fan of Peaky Blinders.
-He read half of The Hunger Games and liked it but never finished, so maybe something along those lines??

This is a short, light Regency romance that is not spicy at all.

A fun adventure with a well done gender swap.
My wife & I reread it regularly.
Incryptids series might be worth a shot? Kind of brings together your fantasy/mystery/action/romance preferences.
