i'm talking about books like Bastard Out Of Carolina, Beloved, Faulkner's works, that true Southern Gothic atmosphere…. i love that stuff. i like when its about family dynamics, dark secrets, when you can feel the heat on your skin through the pages, smell the hot southern air. an extra bonus if there's queer stories in it, or a gay character. thank you!
