Hi, I'm looking for books similar to Flowers for Algernon. After a long period of trying to read but failing because I couldn't find anything I liked and got bored quickly, I came across Flowers for Algernon, which captivated me. It was the first time I read because I enjoyed it rather than out of a sense of "obligation," just for the sake of reading. After I finished it, I also read Never Let Me Go, The Giver, and Metamorphosis, which I liked. Can you give me similar recommendations? Easy to read(in terms of not overly complicated words because english is not my first language) and captivating, wanting to find more about what's gonna happen? Thank you!

Man I felt exactly same way about Flowers for Algernon, that book just grabs you and doesn’t let go. You might really like “Of Mice and Men” by Steinbeck – it has similar emotional weight and the language is pretty straightforward, plus it’s short so you won’t get overwhelmed. Also maybe try “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells, it has that sci-fi element like your other picks but the writing style is accessible
