A Year In Provence was also amazing! I love memoirs, but becoming a parent has made me lose my taste for the miserable tales of triumph over extreme poverty, abuse, mentally ill parents, etc. that I once ate up.
I came here before and you recommended every book I have mentioned here and they have been wonderful!
Please, suggest me more!!

You might like Beverly Cleary’s two memoirs, *A Girl from Yamhill* and *My Own Two Feet*. They are about her childhood and college years during the Depression, so while they aren’t totally happy, they are wonderfully written and charming.Â
If you liked A Year in Provence, maybe My Family and Other Animas by Gerald Durrell or All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot. If you liked The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio (note that the movie with Julianne Moore is also really good), you might enjoy Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank Gilbreth
Wish I had another to recommend like As You Wish. That one was a treat
