I am a 16 year old boy, who used to read a lot and be very well educated. As I grew up and started branching out my interests, I drew away from many of my more healthy and educational habits and ducked into bad ones. I have many interests, but the history of the world, science, and complex ideas are among my favorite. I am essentially asking for some good book recommendations, especially some that get the old gears turning again and teach me a lot, as well as broader my vocabulary.

Try some Hemingway and Steinbeck. The books are pretty short and easy reads but the subjects tend to appeal to dudes, so it should be good to shake off the rust.
Sounds like you’re leaning towards non-fiction, which is fine, but you get a lot of worldly perspectives from novels.
