Exactly what the title says, looking for a good book where the MC isn't swept off their feet by the hero and goes on a world-saving quest, but where they instead love the villain. It would be fun if the MC is even with the hero at first, but starts to fall out of love with the hero and with the villain for whatever reason. Little note is that I am okay with "darker" tropes (possessiveness, etc.). Bonus points if it's LGBTQ+ as well (or if MC even joins the villain's side)

Check out The Cruel Prince series by Holly Black! Jude literally starts hating Cardan and they have this enemies to lovers thing going on but he’s definitely more villain than hero 😂 Also Six of Crows has some morally gray characters where you’re rooting for the “bad guys”
For LGBTQ+ there’s This Is How You Lose the Time War which is two agents from opposing sides falling for each other through letters across time and it’s absolutely beautiful 💀
