I recently started getting into reading, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot more than I expected. The first book I read was “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”, which I got as a gift, and it kind of sparked this interest in wanting to learn more about different topics.
Now I’m looking for some good book recommendations, especially ones that cover general knowledge, things like astronomy, biology, neuroscience, science in general, nature, and similar areas. I’m really interested in understanding more about how the universe works, how life works, and even how our minds work.
I’d prefer something that’s not too technical or hard to follow, more like beginner-friendly books that are still really insightful and well-written.
What books would you say are essential or must-reads in these areas?
Appreciate any suggestions! 🙏

Been down this rabbit hole myself and can definitely recommend a few solid picks. For astronomy, “Astrophysics for People in a Hurry” by Neil deGrasse Tyson is perfect – covers teh big concepts without getting too deep into the math. “The Selfish Gene” by Richard Dawkins is great for biology basics and really changes how you think about evolution and behavior.
If you want something that ties it all together, “A Short History of Nearly Everything” by Bill Bryson is probably your best bet – covers everything from the Big Bang to modern science in a really engaging way.
