Hi y'all! I'd love some book suggestions. I'm a 45 year old woman, in the US, who used to adore reading. I abruptly quit last year after reading hundreds of books a year for several years. I've been reading since I was a tiny tot.
I've read all of Danielle Steel, VC Andrews, Norah Roberts, RL Stine, Christopher Pike, Colleen Hoover, Karen Kingsbury, Janette Oke, Coleen Coble, Terri Blackstock, Debbie Macomber, Robyn Carr, Sherly Woods, Elin Hilderbrand, Lisa, Jewell, PC Cast, Karin Slaughter, Ruth Ware, and so many others. The last series I listened to was the Louise Rick series by Sara Blaedel, so I don't have to have strictly American authors.
Authors that I cannot get into Celeste Ng, B.A. Paris, and J.K. Rowling. I'm also not sure about smut. I'd give it a shot as long as it's not illegal. The only kind of books I've found that I cannot get into are sci fi and I really don't want to read about politics since we're all living that. I love true crime, suspense, Hallmark type books, books about book clubs, memoirs, and even audiobooks. I'm currently looking for a super suspenseful book that draws my attention by the end of the first or second chapter.
I don't get scared or grossed out easily, but I do get bored VERY easy with books. I'm a super quick reader and don't buy a lot of books, so I rely heavily on the Libby app. I also canceled my kindle subscription because I was so bored with the books.
I'm open to any kind of book suggestions even sci fi if you think it'll hook me. Ready…set…go…

Liane Moriarty might be good for you: The Hypnotists Love Story. What Alice Forgot. The Husband’s Secret…etc
Jodi Picoult: My Sister’s Keeper, etc
Agatha Christie And then there were none, etc
Have you read Remarkably Bright Creatures? This one was an easy read but also really fascinating and compelling, with an older woman protagonist. I really enjoyed it! 43F here.
