Howdy all! I’m in the market for some good western stories. I’m in my mid-twenties now, but I remember watching gameplay of the video game GUN as a kid, and just finished rdr2/started rdr1 when i realized I hadn’t ever actually read into the genre much at all. Would love a good western romance from the pov of the cowboy/outlaw, or a western from the pov of a person growing up into a cowboy. Few questions to clarify more of where my search spreads as well:
What are the classics that everyone knows of? What are the classics originally written from the old west?
Are there any queer westerns?
What are some westerns that will surprise me?
