Not read a book in full for years, looking for Fantasy recommendations

Taking the kids to the library shortly and figured I'd get me something whilst there.

I've not read a book in full for absolutely ages, so will listen to any suggestions. I recently tried Advent (James Treadwell) but fell off a cliff about halfway through.

I'm open to absolutely really, but I do enjoy dark/monster themes.
