My MIL likes mystery, thrillers, and suspense books. I’d like to get her a few for Christmas, but am unfamiliar with the genre, as I read mostly fantasy. I’m looking for suggestions in the genre with little to no spice to avoid any awkwardness post reading. Thank you!
