I used to read 40-60 books a year and now I only read a handful. I’m not too picky with genres, my favorite books I read recently was Open Throat by Henry Hoke and I loved it!
Besides that I love When She Woke by Hillary Jordan, Almond by Won-Pyung Sohn, Luster by Raven Leilani, Red Rising, Remote Control by Nnedi Okorafor, and Pet by Akwaeke Emezi etc etc.
