Books where the heroine meets his family and it goes terribly wrong

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for book recommendations where the heroine meets the hero’s parents/family for the first time, and they are absolutely awful to her — cold, judgmental, or outright cruel. It should be bad enough that she ends up leaving (or walking out), and the hero either realizes too late or has to deal with the aftermath.
