“Don’t meet your heroes” recs

Hi! I’ve been thinking about idolizing people and how the experience is when that happens lol, I was wondering if you had any recommendations where a situation like this happens, I put thriller but could be any genre.

If you also have the exact opposite situation (where idolizing someone and look up to them helps the character get through hardships) I would love to know too.
