Not the usual popular recommendations, more like something you randomly picked up or didn’t think much of at first and then it ended up hitting way harder than expected.
Looking for that kind of unexpected experience where a book just stays in your head after you finish it. What was it for you?

Picked up “The Remains of the Day” at a garage sale because cover looked fancy and it was like 50 cents. Thought it would be some boring British thing about butler but man, that slow realization of what the narrator is really telling you… still think about it when I’m working outside and my mind wanders
